The club owner accused of shooting a patron at his nightclub last week was charged with attempted murder today.

Forty-seven-year-old Rey John allegedly shot 33-year-old Oszie Kelvin Russel aka Mongoose following a disagreement at the Viper Club last Friday.

Investigators reported Russel was shot as he attempted to part a fight between John and another patron at the club.

During the incident, the club owner allegedly discharged his licensed firearm and a bullet grazed Russel at the side of his head.

Police reported the wound bled profusely and Russel was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

John is facing a charge of shooting with intent to murder and is due in court for his first appearance on Tuesday.

  1. Sad but It seems as though this Sr police officer’s deeds are now catching up with him….. Time is definitely longer than rope. It will be nice to see what the law does with him…. There are many more officers like him in the force who are living mighty & boast, but seems to have an element of a criminal mind…… Jah know Its just a matter of time!!
