Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has congratulated Gaston Browne on his election as Antigua and Barbuda‘s prime minister. Antigua and Barbuda is China‘s important partner in the Caribbean, said Li in a congratulatory message on March 23.
The two countries have made joint efforts to maintain the good momentum of the development in bilateral relations in recent years, Li said. Pragmatic cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results and bilateral friendship has been deeply rooted in the hearts of both peoples, Li added.
Li pledged to work with his Antigua and Barbuda‘s counterpart to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields and strive for new progress in bilateral relations on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries this year.
