Chinese investor Yida Zhang seeks a High Court extension for an $850 million civil case filed by Heskey Capital LLC.
The dispute revolves around a January 2022 land transfer deal, where Zhang, through Yida International Investment Ltd, transferred 797 acres to Heskey for a Special Economic Zone.
Allegedly, Zhang violated contracts by excluding Heskey from dealings with VISS Ventures Trust. Both parties agreed on a time extension.
Zhang also faces financial issues, with a court-ordered $4.4 million payment to Lux Locations, risking prison.
As the Antigua and Barbuda Special Economic Zone’s main shareholder, Zhang risks significant ownership loss due to contract breaches.
