Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh suspended by JLSC

State Media— The Judicial and Legal Services Commission has suspended Joanne Walsh as Chief Magistrate.

 

The suspension is with full pay and takes effect July 20, 2023, until further notice.

The JLSC communicated the decision to Ms Walsh in a letter dated July 19, citing Rule 4 of the JLSC Disciplinary Rules.

The suspension follows the Commission’s move to serve her with at least 10 disciplinary charges on July 12.

Surely, you are to be commended for the good you have done over the years for the people of this country.
