BROADCAST NEWS: Chief Magistrate Joanne Walsh is now the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP.

Word of this came from Attorney General, Hon. Steadroy Benjamin.

In the interim Dexter Wason will act as Chief Magistrate and Veronica Thomas will act as Senior Magistrate.

These will all take effect from Monday 28th February, 2022.

These Acting positions came about due to the current DPP, Anthony Armstrong being found “guilty of professional misconduct” in his native Jamaica. He is now on special leave.

  1. I hope Rodney have the balls to keep Moore at the magistrate court and not let the acting dpp transfer him at her whim. Let’s see how this unfolds.

  2. My only hope is that she will do her job without fear or favours and don’t let anyone try to corrupt her.
