CBH Workers Continue Industrial Action, Prepare to March for Resolution

2

Central Board of Health (CBH) workers stationed at the St John’s Health Centre remain engaged in ongoing industrial action, with plans to march to their union’s headquarters.

The workers, numbering over 100, initiated a sit-in on Wednesday, demanding resolution for issues such as unpaid overtime, back pay, salary increases, and travel allowance.

Dissatisfied with the response from their representative union, the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU), the workers intend to rally at the union building on North Street following a march from their main building on All Saints Road. (OBSERVER)

  1. Pay the workers what they worth..
That’s why antigua look so dirty and unkempt!!
The government has a responsibility to keep the island clean and habitable…
Only God knows what they do
With all the revenue they receive.
    Nothing but pure corruption
    Smh!!

  2. I remember watching a true crime series called City Confidential, they were covering Key West and the narrator stated at the time of filming there were more persons living in that location with a college degree than any other part of the United States, even the garbage man had a degree.

Everyone has their part to play and none of us are going to make it out alive. Respect to the CBH workers for fighting for what is theirs.
