Caribbean Airlines Pilots Ordered by Court to Immediately End Disruptions

2

Caribbean Airlines, also known as CAL, has been issued an injunction by the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago, compelling pilots to immediately end their industrial action and refrain from sick calls.

The disruption stemmed from a cockpit crew shortage, leading to flight cancellations.

The court’s mandate comes after CAL’s attorneys filed an emergency injunction under the Industrial Relations Act, with the court granting it the next morning.

The injunction prohibits Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association (TTALPA) members from participating in action, even mass sick calls.

The airline emphasizes passengers’ safety and interests while addressing the chaos caused by the disruptions.

  1. Just like with LIAT, pilots again are trying to bring down an airline in order to get their wishes. We need AI pilots.
