The High Court has prohibited the Defence Force from altering the employment status of Captain Javonson Willock, who held a permanent position for seven years.
Despite the ABDF’s attempt to rectify an alleged “oversight,” Willock obtained an interim injunction, with the court scheduling a hearing for December 13 after instructing both parties to submit arguments by December 11.
Willock contends that altering his permanent employment terms now would constitute an “unlawful attempt to constructively dismiss him,” seeing the recent decision as a continuation of efforts to force his resignation.
The court order, issued by Justice Jans Drysdale, prevents any changes to Willock’s employment status pending further legal proceedings.
