Canadian border officials have intercepted a major drug shipment from Antigua, seizing 27 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of over CA$3.3 million.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) confirmed that the narcotics were discovered in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in luggage arriving on a flight from Antigua.

Two individuals were arrested and handed over to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), along with the confiscated drugs.

Images shared by CBSA show two teal suitcases and X-ray scans revealing concealed packages within the luggage.

CBSA did not disclose the identities or nationalities of the suspects, and Antigua and Barbuda authorities have yet to comment.

Efforts are underway to obtain more information from Canadian officials.
