Pointe Xpress – Economic Ambassador Calvin Ayre has revealed that his Ayre Group will undertake a substantial tourism venture in Antigua’s Jolly Harbour.

The Ayre Group’s $400 million investment will materialize as the opulent Niki Beach resort across 10 acres near Jolly Beach.

While formal details are impending, Ayre anticipates a three to four-year development timeframe.

The resort, adjacent to Prime Minister Gaston Browne’s residence, will encompass luxury accommodations and private villas.

Ayre plans to secure initial funding with later investment recruitment.

He emphasized that attracting high-end tourists enhances Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism impact and economy.

The project aims to elevate the country’s profile on the global map.

  1. Niki Beach establishments are similar to Senor Frog and the NASCAR crowd watering joints; none of which are considered up scale or opulent.
If you are looking for something upscale and opulent you have chosen the wrong brand.
When the drunks start carousing late at night I hope King Gaston, the Price and the Princess get some sleep.

While formal details are impending, the unveiling is being done with this third announcement; we look forward to more jobs for the people who clean toilets, make beds and tend the landscape.
Why educate you people when these jobs need to be filled?

No jobs for an Antiguan General Manager unless he or she is a (ABLP) Laborer; with a UWI uselessness.

Nice Try! But I’m afraid this timely announcement, will not stop the people of Saint Mary’s South putting Kevin “Shugy” Simon back in office with a landslide victory.

  2. Well, Calvin. it was a long wait but you finally got what you wanted.
All those years of friending up with the leader and giving out little beads and trinkets and keeping your powder dry for this big moment. I admire your patience. Maybe you didn’t have to wait so long, but you did to make sure you got it all.

You and the Middle East man now own the south lock, stock and barrel. Time will tell to see which of you will get us all back in the cotton fields.

One word of caution. We are easy commodities, but not all of us.

    Times are changing

  3. From Calvin’s description of the project in his ABSTV interview on YouTube, his development will span right across the long standing public right of way which now affords the only viable public access to Jolly Beach. Nobody seems to care that this public road was ILLEGALLY annexed by CDAL when the Jolly Harbour construction started over 30 years ago and has never been properly reinstated. Maybe Shugy will fix it!

  4. Oh please! Another one of the announcements before and election by the idiot behind it all, Gaston Browne. Pensioner were promised raises, civil servants were promised raises and back pay,Nada, nothing. This failure call PM continues to lie to remain in power, but the clock is ticking. His time is drawing nigh and the books will be opened to explain where 12 billion dollars went; where a man who had nothing prior to 2014,now boasts of being worth 300 million; the 2.16 million for the cemetery: the 75 million for the EBooks; the Antigua Airways saga times 2; NAMCO and all these fraudulent companies sucking the country dry. Antiguans, the first order of business is to remove ALP from government.

  5. Convenient that Gaston’s property value is going to rise. A house right next to “adjacent” a resort. Wow must be nice 🙄🙄. Yet y’all sheep done see the strategic long term planning of these people for self enrichment. Y’all praise them, defend them, put them back in power and after go home, turn y’all pipes and faucets and not even likkle water coming out. Yet they live in the lap of luxury while you can’t even wash ya 🐷🔑

  6. Mr. Ayre, may I humbly suggest, you take your project to Guiana Island. You will have much more room there and can create your private beach and marina. Mr. Yida will need your investment to move his project that has come to a halt further.
I really don’t see a Nikki Beach Club like in Barbados so next door to a three-star hotel like Jolly Beach. Where people go who sit at the back of the plane. They cannot even afford to buy a beer and eat out in our local restaurants. Your clients wouldn’t want to share a beach with them.
