In addition to more than EC$4 million worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) being donated to the Ministry of Health, the Calvin Ayre Foundation (CAF) will also be making a further contribution of 20 high-quality laptops to the Ministry, valued at EC$87,000.

According to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Ena Dalso Henry, the timely donation is critical to the Ministry’s ability to manage data collection and field reporting by the front-line Health Workers.

“On behalf of the Ministry,” Henry said, “I wish to convey our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Ayre’s very generous contribution to the government, to assist with our response during this health emergency.”

Ayre, a technology specialist himself, said he hoped the laptop donation will assist greatly with technological advancements within the ministry.

The laptop donation will be received by Ministry of Health officials during the PPE handover at the V.C. Bird International Airport, slated for Saturday, May 16, 2020.

  1. Lets see how this movie ends……

One man appears to be doing so much. I wonder how many hundreds of acres he is getting….

    Nothing is free. nothing.

  2. lol hahahahahaha seen this movie before. Its a remake of Sir Lester’s Alan Sanford “We were going to give him all the lands he requested” It had a sad ending though well Leroy King can speak about it but I wonder who will be the next Leroy King???

This one is directed by the Tap Dag.

  3. Why does the Ministry of Health need a donation of computers? Why don’t they already have basic infrastructure like computers? All the hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through our tiny island over the decades and our Ministry of Health doesn’t have decent laptops?

  4. These laptops need to be given to ministry of education and parents who are home with kids who need to do online classes. @ melchiseDICK why are u sooooo negative?

Yeah and look where Alan Sanford is today and all the airport lands. Lands at crabs etc

      We are not learning anything.

It is time that we stop looking for hand outs and start to work to sustain our survival.

You guys are slave to the easy way out looking for freebes and death relief after you done spend people money.

  5. Sanford is for 175 years in prison, the Land has been given back… not every investor is a criminal! Be happy that someone invests in Antigua rather then the Chinese, cutting down mangrove, exporting the corona virus and building for Chinese only hotels!
