Residents who were affected by the recent flooding will get some much needed assistance, thanks to the Calvin Ayre Foundation and a cash injection of one hundred and forty-nine thousand dollars.

The cheque was presented to Minister of Social Transformation, Human Resource Development and the Blue Economy, the Hon. Dean Jonas on Monday. Jonas expressed his delight in the organization’s commitment to being a good cooperate citizen.

“The Calvin Ayre foundation has been outstanding in their support for Antigua and Barbuda, particularly the vulnerable amongst us. Many students, many disabled individuals and many persons who were made vulnerable during this Covid crisis have benefitted directly from contributions made by the Calvin Ayre Foundation; and for this we are truly grateful”.

Minister Jonas encouraged the foundation to continue their support for the Government and people of Antigua and Barbuda, “as we continue to battle not just the Covid crisis or economic crisis, but also in instances of natural disasters that continue to come upon us from time to time”.

Media Relations Specialist, Jermilla Kirwan says that the organization is extremely pleased to once again partner with the government to bring some relief to those persons who were affected by the November Floods.

She encouraged other businesses to jump and assist where necessary.

Also on hand for the presentation was Executive Director Of the Calvin Ayre Foundation, Corrina Delowsky and a few of the recipients.
