The Caribbean Women in Leadership (CIWiL) is pleased to announce the election of its new Chairperson, Miss Calisha Spencer, a quality assurance professional, entrepreneur and youth leader who is passionate about the educational advancement of women and girls in Antigua and Barbuda.

The election, held on Saturday 12 March 2022 came as a result of the resignation of former Chairperson, Janice Sutherland who held the position since September 2020 when the Nation Chapter was formed. Miss Spencer formerly served as the Treasurer of the National Chapter.

The position of Treasurer is now being held by Miss Ivorlyn Hood.

The newly-elected Chairperson noted “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve as Chair of the Chapter.

This continues to give women in leadership a seat at the table and to impact positive change. Having served as the Treasurer on the Executive has armed me with the experience to serve in a more robust capacity and I hope that I’m able to make a difference.”
