CABINET: Payments to Public Servants

12

Salaries, Pensions and Social Security payments have been paid to all the Banks such that every public servant should have received what is his or her due, from the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.

The next pay day will likely be on December 16th 2022.

A date for ABST-waiver will be announced this month.

  1. What about my Social security Benefits I should start getting since February? I need my money I put in the fund for 25yrs. I am tired of hearing you all are backed up.It time to put back the millions borrowed by this incompetent Government..Get Rid Ah Them.

  2. Is this even newsworthy? People are supposed to be paid on time. This incompetent government is so accustomed to being months behind on payments and the monthly late payments, that paying people on time seems to be a big accomplishment for them. Give me an aspirin

    • @Blue Ivy…after reading the article, my thoughts echos yours.
Why is it #news to pay employees what they are legally entitled to. These are the kinds of #hog_wash which are fed to the People and they readily accept it, as a Five Course meal at a Five Star Restaurant.

      Indoctrinated and Bamboozled…

  3. Acting like yall doing something great. Stfu this is what you all get paid to do. Fix the issues an pay people on time. Woe be unto Antigua&Barbuda if the people of this country re-elect you bunch of shit house.

  4. After eight years this is your greatest achievement, you are really pitiful and trifling, no wonder the goat keeps on eating in your garden

  5. Soooo, is it a favour you did for the public servants and pensioners? Enquiring minds would like to know.

  6. I wonder when they got their pay? All ten thousand dollars of it. This is the government’s legal responsibility. They have almost doubled the public workers wage bill and continue to borrow to keep up. It will be interesting to see how they will fund any back pay and sustain any wage hike. This man knows nothing about finance, and is the most inept, incompetent finance minister ever. The quintessential statement of this idiot will forever tell the tale: borrow Antigua and Barbuda out of debt.

  7. Pay the people dem, what is due? And stop acting like your doing them favour for what is rightly theirs.

As a Antiguan businessman, I pay eye-watering taxes (makes me wonder how ABLP are using tax payers money?), and the government is down on anyone if they miss or delay payments.

The money wasting government has no excuses whatsoever for not paying workers or pensioners what is due to them.

CAN YOU IMAGINE IF ANY BUSINESSES IN ANTIGUA DELAYED PAYING TAXES FOR MORE THAN A YEAR OR SO?

WE WOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TO TRADE. TARL!

GASTON “DON’T CARE” BROWNE PLEASE PAY UP, CALL THE ELECTION, AND THEN GET OUT, SO THAT A GROWN-UP CAN RUN THE COUNTRY THAT I LOVE AND ADORE …

  8. The only country in the entire world that the government is asking for a round of applause for the payment of salaries, pensions and social security.
Ah who them beg this time. Ah better they take the money from IMF because it’s cheaper.
    CRACK HEAD GOVERNMENT.

  9. Kudos to the government of Antigua and Barbuda! I am indeed grateful for the effort. Looking forward to the other payment on the 16th December. …
No matter what happens I guess we will always be disgruntled.
