Cabinet doubles down; Tells Dr. Lester Simon to stay in his lane

The Cabinet strongly disagrees with the doctor who publicly stated that the imported infections came from visiting tourists, and not from the returning nationals and residents.

The evidence garnered from contact-tracing clearly shows the origin of the vast majority of imported infections came from those whose levels of intimacy are greater than the visiting tourists.

Too many residents and returning nationals who were placed in quarantine were seen walking the streets, visiting banks and supermarkets, and otherwise mixing freely when they were ordered isolated or quarantined.

The vexing assertion that tourists were free to roam but returning nationals were frequently confined has already been discussed fully; the levels of intimacy between those who are resident and those tourists who are entering Antigua differ, requiring a commonsense approach that is based on logic, the Cabinet asserts.

The test of the correctness of this policy is manifested in the end results showing no new infections or hospitalizations in the past three weeks.

    DR.SIMON BASICALLY AGREES THAT THE FOCUS SHOULD NOT JUST BE ON RETURNING NATIONALS BUT EQUALLY ON TOURISTS WHO HAS ALSO BROUGHT THE VIRUS TO THE SHORE’S OF ÀNTIGUA .IT DOESN’T MATTER IF IT’S 5 TIMES TOURISTS AND 10 TIMES NATIONALS .   3. Wow! This is what I will be voting for? I do hope that we use our commonsense approach and logic to realize that they’re saying the tourists did not contribute in any manner to our rise in cases. The supermarkets shows that tourists gets intimate with us quite easily; As policies are put in place and revisited ever so often, in reality people are closer and yet no official cases are reported in 1 month. Praises to the most high.

  7. Stay in his lane? That man Dr.Simon is a National of Antigua and Barbuda. So what damn lane is he supposed to stay in. Max Hurst and Melford Nicholas need to brought out to sea and be thrown into the Ocean. May the best swimmer survived. Dr.Simon keep on doing what you are doing. If they want you out,just leave. Come North,you could get a position in any highly regarded Hospitals in the USA and or Canada. You would be making a lot more $$$$$$.Think about it Dr.Simon.

  8. Not one of the members of the septic tank gang have a clue about the medical world yet they continue to spew garbage and now tell a person who studied medicine and is well practiced in the medical field to stay in their lane. JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN’T ALIGN WITH THEIR GAME PLAN.

    Here we have another example of why our nation is in the sad state of affairs it’s in. Lie No Hell Hurst has no medical background just like his fellow septic tank gang member, Mole-win Joseph (joke of a health minister) but can make a statement like this.

    People need to wake up and realise how the current septic tank gang is taking our nation down into the abyss. Vote wisely next elections. We are all directly responsible for our nation and the direction in which it goes.

    All govt’s work for the people NOT the other way around. The govt should fear the people NOT the other way around. Your children’s future depends on you. We need to stop the govt from selling us out and stealing our lands.
