Yet there are horrific crimes happening, a bigger issue, that affects national security, tourism, economy, safety, international relationship and no kind of committee or boards made up of experts in criminology, sociology, law, national security, policing, and other social sciences has been formed.
Antigua make it so easy for people to say how incompetent and ignorant we are. You are forming a committee for something as easy as understanding the impact allowing a ride sharing app would have on taxi drivers but something as major and critical as public safety and national security nothing at all has been done to conduct indepth research to understand crime, migration, victimization, crime victim advocacy etcetera for the country especially with the constant acts of inherently dangerous crimes within the country that it seems criminals have no fear and police strategies (if any) are highly ineffective?
I am so sick and tired of the incompetence and this is not being said in bad faith, I truly upset about the incompetence in crime prevention in Antigua and Barbuda.
you are so full of yourself and thinks the world should revolve around you eh?
Reply to “my way of helping”.
Antigua should not advance in one area because they’re facing challenges in another?
How does that make sense to you. You are complaining about a ridesharing app? What is preventing the Taxi Drivers from utilising that app to earn? You are reading to comment as opposed to understand.
Will a ridesharing app not offer the possibility of adults being able to send a cab to collect their child and thus monitor where they are between school and home? Will that not go towards crime prevention.
A number of Antiguans complained about the app and now the government has established a committee to receive advice you are upset. Because u know best right? You already know the answer! If the Government took your approach they would consult no one, they wouldn’t set up a committee for guidance on the issue they would do as they wish. Guess what? YOUD STILL COMPLAIN.
I am begging you to please do some deductive thinking when you read. Don’t just comment.
@J, I am for the ride sharing app. You have to read and understand what my focus/pith/point is.
Little boys behind wheels. Grow up
Cutie had time to sit down with these petty fellas? You vex because someone else operating a Uber type service? So you alone must eat?
The problem is the taxi drivers nothing else. Sometimes issues that we can sort out internally ends up in the media and I don’t know why
If the airport transport messy, it makes the whole country look bad. That’s our main point of entry to the county
Balance is needed. Protect local taxi drivers, but also keep it affordable and professional for passengers.
