CABINET NOTES: The Cabinet discussed the Covid-19 pandemic and the success achieved in its management, nationally.
There are no active cases, no Covid-19 patients in hospital, and no new infections within the past two weeks.
The Cabinet applauded the Minister of Health, the CMO, the frontline workers including the doctors, nurses, and hospital workers, the Police, the military, the Quarantine Officials, and the people of Antigua and Barbuda, especially those who have stepped forward to receive vaccination, for making the policies articulated by the Cabinet, and appearing in the Gazette, so very successful.
The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Mount St. John Medical Centre has revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Saturday 19th 2021 at 6pm.
One hundred and seventy-eight (178) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird MSJMC.
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains one thousand two hundred and sixty-three (1263); There are no active cases.
Meanwhile, thirty five thousand seven hundred and sixty-eight (35,768) first doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered while twenty seven thousand and forty-one (27,041) second doses were administered.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.
