Source- Real News Antigua: A businesswoman who left her establishment to fetch water from another location had her place broken into and an undisclosed sum of money stolen.

Reports say the Old Road woman secured her shop at about 11:45 p.m. and left for Curtain Bluff to collect some water.

On the woman’s return, at about 1 p.m., she noticed that the front door had been tampered with; and after entering the shop she discovered that an intruder had made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.

The businesswoman then telephoned the Johnsons Point Police Station and reported the break-in and theft.

The intruder reportedly had used force to pry open the door to the shop.

Inquiries into this incident continue.
