The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) is now investigating the offence of aggravated robbery.
Reportedly, the man had secured his business place and was walking towards his vehicle, which was parked in front of his restaurant.
At that time, he was approached by three masked men who forced him into the back seat of his Stepwagn, registration C14380.
The victim reports that, while inside the vehicle, one of the assailants struck him in the back of the head and to the left side of his face with what appeared to be a firearm.
Another one got into the driver’s seat and drove the vehicle east, towards Clare Hall, and then up to Shell Beach.
Reportedly, while on their way to that location, the gunmen demanded that the victim take them to his house to see what he had there.
It is alleged that the businessman refused – since he has a young child at home – and the bandits threatened to kill him.
After reaching Shell Beach, the men stopped the vehicle, pushed the man out, and drove away with his vehicle, his black Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, and $700 in cash.
The victim then walked to the old US Navy Base seeking assistance.
However, an officer from the Coolidge Police Station, who was on mobile patrol in the area, took him to CID.
The businessman complained of pain in his head and was subsequently transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for medical attention.
The assailants were said to be about 5’ 8” and 5ft’ 9” in height, of a slim build, and were dressed in black hooded shirts and ski masks.
A search for them was carried out but without success.
This offence reportedly occurred at about 12 midnight, on November 23, on old Parham Road.

It’s crazy how you people know the person who is doing this and he still on the road
Yup soon all stores and restaurants gonna close at 6pm. Can’t have anything good in this country anymore.
Whats going on on this island? Its like no law and order on this island. This is like the wild wild west. Cripes! People work hard for their money, some still paying for their vehicle and those LGFN just assaulting them and taking their hard-earned merchandise and their money. Ya”ll better assemble a vigilante committee.
@ ssndra
The Bible states that ‘crime increases when criminals are in power’, I guess as far as the ABLP are concerned the UPP is in power!!!
Bunch of criminals.
Thanks to god for your life
These type of criminales need to be rid of society, by whatever means the society chooses.
Meanwhile the Commissioner of police is somewhere washing his hair.
Enquiring minds want to know if the criminals are local Antiguans.
They are the new breed antiguans and also the aliens (foreigners) The Antiguans/aliens/foreigners were the peaceful Caribs in the 60s and 70s
You are now dealing with the savage Arawaks.
The criminals are slowly destroying our country. The legal system and the police seems not able to handle the situation. Criminal activities are so frequent that it does not even make headline anymore. I am willing to support any group or organisation to get rid of this evil from our society.
I guess you all will have to hire some no nonsense law enforcement officers from off island, or take matters into your own hands.
