  1. 😔 time to make life even harder for ppl. Imagine barbers start having a caged waiting room that needs to buzz you in when it’s ur turn. Oh well.

  2. Waiting patiently for some victim to shoot one of these bandits….i hope when it happens we don’t get anyone saying how nice and loving they were and this is not him etc. I also hope that the authorities don’t unnecessarily harass the victim further for doing what they are failing to do! #protectyourselfbyanymeans

  3. What u mean by the police is investigating “how they gain access to the shop?” I would think they just walked in…. smh…. what the police should be focusing on is getting finger prints and searching outside of the immediate area….. do u really think the robbers would stick around the area? These police are just laughable

    • @ Smh

During 2004-2014, ABLP complained about the escalation in crime and blamed the UPP…..I will never forget that.

      It is still UPP’s fault.

  4. I’m sorry to say this but it’s going to get worse. Those robbers have no respect for anyone and I’m saying none! They would start from robbing there own relatives, going on to outsiders. They have no morals ! I’m soo sorry for our people. Time longer than twine, one of these days if you continue that gun would be pointing in your direction . ‘ STOP IT! ‘

  5. And not a squeak from the Commissioner of Police, The Attorney General or the Prime Minister on these daily occurrences of robbery and violence the person. The Prime Minister is too busy posing in African dress while the other two seem to have been struck dumb. The rating of 9th of 10 given to the PM is generous; it should in reality be 10th of 10. Antigua and Barbuda is being wheeled to hell in a handcart by this sound bite PM. We are doomed whether we are realize it or not.

    • @ oversee, you beat me to it.

Where is Police Commissioner Attlee Rodney? He’s gone Missing In Action once again.

His silence on matters of rising crime in the country is very troubling – I’ve never come across this blatant negligence of office from a high ranking policeman before.

I do recall his controversial appointment at the time, but Rodney was given the benefit of our own doubts; and has he blown it big time.

Also remember, Prime Minister Gaston Browne wasn’t afraid to remove someone at the top in APUA, and ruffling feathers in our banking institutions for inactions; yet – arguably – he leaves the Police Commissioner in office. How comes @ oversee?

      CRONYISM IS DESTROYING ANTIGUA. BAD!

      • @Brixtonian .
This guy, like the PM and some others in the ruling party, is in over his head in his post. You could have dressed up a donkey with a swagger stick and got a response, at least, hee haw, hee haw. But not a word from this human. He must have had some qualifications to be appointed to his post. Is he hiding his light under a bushel? There’s no other explanation for it.

      • He can’t say anything because he was only appointed as a scapegoat puppet. The man is an obvious ghost and need urgent replacement. The whole lot of them all do!!

  6. Antigua 🇦🇬 police are the best at bullshiting, they are investigating how the gunmen got into the building, the used parachute, Antigua is really the laughing stock of the carribean

  7. Business owners MUST begin, to invest in #Dye_Packs with fake money on the outside.

I would even go a bit further, in BOOBYTRAPPING these #Dye_Packs!

Fight #fire🔥 with #fire☄️! It works!

“Gunfire Erupts: Brazen Robbery Shakes St. John’s”

A brazen robbery rocked St. John’s last night at the Peta Pocket restaurant on Popeshed Street, where multiple shots were fired, sending customers running for cover. Witnesses described scenes of chaos and panic as armed assailants stormed the eatery, leaving residents shocked and concerned for their safety. Despite a swift response from authorities, the perpetrators managed to evade capture, sparking fears about security in the city. The incident has prompted calls for increased vigilance and measures to prevent such violence from occurring again in the future.

  9. Well one thing is for certain, he was foolish enough not to wear gloves ! He appears to be Caucasian and also right handed. He is either unmarried or took off his ring right before carrying out the crime. Now the clock is ticking, I hope you are ready to do some hard time in Antigua’s 1735 ! If anybodys recognise the jacket please phone CID.

  10. I have said it before and I will say it again and again. After hours these fast food places need to have serving windows and no walk-ins. The perps cannot brandish no weapons through a window or better not try it before they pull back a half ah hand or arm!!!!

    • @Needy…They will turn on the customers!
It’s not #crisis_mode, as of yet, but crimes of this nature are getting hotter and hotter.
Antigua have always had crime, but not this #armed_robbery, at anytime, of the day!
Many cities are restricting business hours, in particular, when it comes to establishments which serve liquor and cooked/fast food, and open until 5am or 24 hours in some cases.

These types of businesses which operate on a 24 hour cycle, requires additional public services, such as police, hospitals, sanitation etc.
These are services which depend, on TAX dollars for the most part.
The biggest cost will be for additional policing the public roads and communities. Businesses while they can have security guards at their premises, security guards are not responsible for law enforcement, outside of those private domains.

It’s a quandary which needs immediate addressing; as in, more TAXES on businesses and people, to accommodate 24 hour policing.
Most Cities which are on such of business time table are using technologies to monitor and surveil Communities with easy tracking devices, attached to license plates, to subpoenaed data from your electronics.

Another thing, amend the ‘laws…’ to accommodate MANDATORY sentences for possession of illegal firearms, and also unlicensed firearms[serious fines] be they (ghost or modified) and Ammo.

Set up PRISON CAMPS, like POW – Prisoner Of War type settings with METAL CONTAINERS, designed as a farm where prisoners earn their keep, get a percentage of minimum pay and the rest goes to victims. and the tax payers!

      Get serious! The criminals have!
