Burglars Break Into Cashless ATM

1

Burglars reportedly left empty-handed after prying open an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) belonging to the Community First Cooperative Credit Union this week.

The ATM was vandalized when the perpetrators broke into the Bargain Centre Supermarket on Wednesday evening.

However, despite the best efforts of the vandals, the credit union has assured the public “no staff nor funds were at risk during this assault”.

According to the financial institution, the ATM was taken out of operation a few weeks prior to the incident in preparation for its relocation.

However, the credit union, which said it will have to replace the damaged machine, is asking members of the public to contact the police if they have any information that can assist in capturing the perpetrators.
