Calvin “Burga” James will be sentenced in October after pleading guilty to viciously attacking family members in 2015.
Last Friday, James pleaded guilty to attempted murder of his niece, Amanda James and wounding his sister, Ineta Liburd with intent.
During the incident, the accused reportedly used a taser gun to stun his sister and beat her with a piece of wood.
He later attacked his niece, chopping her about her body with a cutlass.
In January this year, James was also charged with two counts of murder and attempted murder for a second alleged attack on other family members last October.
Investigators alleged, while he was on bail for the 2015 incident, James shot and killed his niece, Tahisha Thomas and his nephew’s girlfriend, Sanchezca Charles.
His nephew, Lawrence James was also shot and injured during the incident.
The case is still awaiting committal to the High Court.

Burga is an honest man. I’ll give him that. He did NOT waste the court’s time by trying to hire some slick lawyer to fabricate lies and try to get him off.
What is it that his sister did why he has such hatred and vengeance towards her? Can a reporter get an interview with him like they do on CNN and 48 Hours? Also interview a psychologist to give expert analysis.
Reportedly, it is stemming from a dispute over house and/or land, though the details are sketchy and needs verification.

Burga….the profile of a profound wicked man with the heart of a stone. I can tell you. He would not waste the courts time with his plea because he did exactly what he wanted to and would so plea even in his pending murder trial. It’s sad that our courts have done away with the death penalty.
yes and on top of that they do not even give life sentences instead of the death penalty. It is really sad how our judges have more sympathy and understanding for the murderer than for the families of the victims
Well they can send him to the new prison at the old base. He and Mr. Crump can be cellmates and gym buddies.
