Bryan DeSilvia statement after defeat to Dr McChesney Emanuel

(Press Release)

In life, standing up for what you believe in and doing what you know is right can cause you to end up at a very lonely place. To the 27 persons who stood with me, I say thank you and I appreciate your support. To those who choose not to, I say thank you for participating in the process. Please know it has never been and will never be, just about being in a position. Instead, I chose to do this for the love of my community and my passion for seeing better for all. This is what drives me to continue to fight for you.

Some say I am foolish, while others say I should take a back seat, however, I say this is what is in my heart. I care, therefore the opinions of others will never change that. With that said, I will continue to fight for those who support me and those who don’t; for those who like me and those who don’t, as I am not looking for praise or thank you. I genuinely want to see my community do better and I know that is something worth fighting for. I did not lose or fail, rather, I was given the opportunity to voice what I had within me and I learned yet another lesson — a lesson that I will add to the many other lessons I have learned which I will use to continue this fight.

I Was Here, I am Here and I’ll Always Be Here.

  1. LOL @ the caption below his photo. Seems more appropriate for a beauty pageant than politics. LOL!!! But anyway I wish the young man all the beast in his future endeavours. His heart/mind seems to be in the right place. You don’t need the UPP to advance your cause. I am sure that you will think of something innovative.
