Noting Antigua and Barbuda is the best country for tourism, Prime Minister Gaston Browne welcomes Chinese tourists to travel to the island country in the Eastern Caribbean.

With a population of more than 100,000, Antigua and Barbuda has a pleasant climate, rich tourism resources and many high-quality beaches.

“It’s certainly one of the most beautiful island states in the world. I’ll say here the best country for tourism, so those who are interested in vacation in the Caribbean, the country to visit is Antigua and Barbuda.

We actually boast 365 beaches, one beach every day of the year, and we’re talking about the most beautiful beaches in the entire world. It’s constantly, I’d say temperatures in the region about 25 to 30 degrees [Celsius], very pleasant, most beautiful beaches in the world, turquoise waters, good food, good history. That’s a great place to be,” said Browne during an exclusive interview with China Global Television Network.

At present, Antigua and Barbuda and China have mutually exempt visa policies. Browne expressed his hope to see Chinese tourists soon in Antigua and Barbuda.

Browne made an official visit to China from Jan 22 to 28 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

During the visit to China, Browne visited Beijing, Zhejiang and Shanghai. This was his second visit after nearly 10 years.

Antigua and Barbuda is one of the first countries in the Eastern Caribbean to establish diplomatic ties with China and the first country in the Eastern Caribbean to sign a memorandum of understanding with China on the Belt and Road Initiative.

  1. Great work PM!

Only issue is that China hasn’t yet ratified its visa free treaty with us – so we technically still can’t visit China without a visa. It’s worth putting some pressure there.

  2. Antigua is beautiful, beaches wonderful, problem is the roads getting to them and other parts of the Island.

  3. Would have liked to hear some of the names of these beaches, so when i visit i could tick off as I visit as many as possible.

  4. Dream on, bro. Stop speculating.

China to Antigua is long haul travel. Not exactly designed for elderly Chinese, and the young ones are too busy working. Besides they have nearer sunkissed countries to visit that are much cheaper.
