    • @ Morainy Knights: A very good question……. It is for this reason that as a tourist resort we need to have legible signs erected throughout the country especially at areas of interest where it can be dangerous. A sign erected ” Be very careful Crossing the bridge or going very close to the bridge will be at your own risk” It is very very sad ! may their souls RIP

  1. That is so damn tragic. I have been there and enjoyed it thoroughly but was afraid at the same time. As a tourist you have to be so very careful. Hugs to the family❣️

  2. My condolence to the families but question any insurance on the mother and daughter 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

  3. My condolences to the family. When you have places like these as tourists attractions, safety must be a consideration. The rocks can be extremely slippery. Safety rails should have been installed years ago. Let’s see if they do so now.

  4. There should be signs prohibiting people from crossing that “bridge”. Been saying it for years. This tragedy is another extremely sad reason.

  5. THINK CRIME: …MURDER?: …INSURANCE FRAUD?: …NO SPECULATED OPINIONS?
Professionally, remembering ‘The Bowman Murder Case’ in which he was properly convicted for allegedly:

    (a) ‘…Lured his wife to the roof of the then Royal Antiguan Hotel:

    (b) …Feigned giving her a ‘…Love Card’ at the edge of the roof: then

    (c) …Unsuspectingly pushed her over to ‘…INSTANT DEATH.’

The best ‘Expert Witness -Mr. Workman’ sealed the conviction for ‘Murder,’ never before committed in ‘Antigua and Barbuda.’

Criminal investigations revealed that mere weeks before travel from the ‘…United States,’ he had taken out a ‘…Life Insurance Policy on her.’

This provides a reasonably drawn inference that he intended two things:

    (i) ‘…He planned her death in ‘Antigua and Barbuda; and

    (ii) …Defrauding the Insurance providers.’

The ‘Convicted Murderer/Suspected Fraudster’ reportedly committed suicide at ‘HMP.’

Criminal investigators shall ‘THINK CRIME’ until the contrary is proved.

Some like to publish ‘Press Release’ with ‘…Speculated Opinions.’ but they shall ‘…RULE NOTHING OUT

    • You are so inappropriate with your disproportionate and pompous comments. You clearly think you are highly intellectual with your over done grammar and centuries old way of writing. But this comment takes the cake. Why not just have some decorum and respect instead?

    • @Pompey, you’re gonna be eaten alive for you thinking, and it’s understandable.
As a trained investigator of crimes, your comment is in total order.
While condolences, empathy and sympathy are in order for the bereaved, friends and family; any, and ALL ACCIDENTS, of this nature should be thoroughly investigated.

Many will see you, as the #Diablo of Devils Bridge.

There’s a long history to this area, in the Essence of Nature, through its Ether.

1…it’s one of Nature’s CROSSROADS/PORTALS which allows for transformation, and transcendence to other realms!
      Hence…
2… The reasons why the area was used by other Cultures, such as those called Indians, to give thanks, reverence to the ANCIENT ANCESTORS in their Livity at certain times of the Lunar and Solar cycles.
During these times, such as this when there was a FULL BEAVER MOON, the portals of transformation are not easily felt, and the LURE, the DARE can be very hypnotic, and no signage nor guardrails can stop The Spirits of The Water from drawing one in.

DEVILS BRIDGE IS ONE OF THE BEST CROSSROADS OF THE UNIVERSE TO WORK OBEAH, PRAY TO THE ANCESTORS.

      Again, condolences to the bereaved!

  6. My condolences, but this is a very strange story and so early in the morning.
This is like news from the big cities and am afraid this is too big for our investigators, so it will remain a drowning.

  7. It never ceases to amaze me how some humand minds work in a tragedy such as this. While some commendably empathize and sympathize with the surviving member of this family, others immediately jump to the possibility of foul play. The deceased mother and missing daughter are now their focus on an insurance payout which is the first thing that sprang to their mind. Think the worst, it’s money, money, money. How low can you get! How sad.

  8. Oh My God. Please erect a sign that say “Prohibited crossing of the bridge. Do NOT approach the edge!”
    My condolences

  9. Didn’t they put up some kind of fencing up there recently? I know they’re from Canada but how much convincing does a person need to stay away from the edge? Anyway, we don’t know the circumstances. The child could have gotten away from the mother who tried to rescue it thus drawing the father in as well.

  10. Yes we must say Condolences too the Family but we have too look for everything .Who remember Royalton when the man took his wife on the roof and push her off for the big Insurance money 💰 you all behaving like you all don’t know they do these things .you all need too take you all head out of you know where and think.come too dirty our Country name .you all don’t care if our Country name Drag down .. so sorry but a Soo ..like I said earlier our CONDOLENCES ..

  11. Murder suicide? Mm sounds very suspicious 🤨 hopefully the right investigation is done! Somethings don’t add up

  12. I hope we don’t see the husband in a few months on Dateline / 48 Hrs under investigation, saying he brought his wife to the Caribbean island of Antigua and killed her or them.

  13. Very sad news. The authorities will need to put some safety rails and erect safety signs around the perimeter. It may take money but a necessity.

  14. I am sorry for the loss of life but the husband needs to be thoroughly investigated.

How did these people fall off the edge? It’s not like Devil’s Bridge is a sudden/hidden drop, you can see the danger from SEVERAL FEET AWAY.

If he is innocent I apologise in advance for the hurt this comment may cause but an investigation into the husband is necessary. Remember Chris Watts? These “family man” types do crazy things sometimes.

  15. So very sad for the family. My condolences to them. This is very upsetting. I place some blame on the A-B tourist industry who haven’t done anything to protect people from the area. Don’t they know how to deal with tourists in A-B? Tourists are daring by nature and must be told to stay off! …no “go ahead at your own risk” language. Just straight talk: this rock formation is closed, do not enter under penalty of $10,000 fine and possible jailtime to trespassers. Or use a little dynamite to blow this rock formation away! Too many deaths here. (Why not, we’ve done this elsewhere.)
