Police Recorded 5th Homicide for 2021

Pablo Francis of St. Johnsons Village, who was hospitalized following an altercation on Wednesday 14th July has died.

Francis was pronounced dead around 12:05 pm on Wednesday 21st July by a medical doctor; a week after his injury.

Alfred Delice, 42 also of St. Johnson’s Village was charged by the police over the weekend with Attempted Murder.

He has since appeared before the court and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.

Further investigations are ongoing and it is likely that an amendment will be made to the current charge.

Background:

According to reports, Francis was injured during an altercation with a man – identified as St Lucian national, Alfred Delice – at approximately 9pm on July 14, while both men were close to a playing field in St Johnston’s Village, where they resided.

It is currently unclear what led to the incident, but after being stabbed, Francis was rushed to the Sir Lester Bird Mount St John’s Medical Centre where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in grave condition.

  2. The only way to put a stop to these killings is to execute by hanging all of the killers, according to laws of Antigua and Barbuda. It will sure make some of these idiots think twice. The culture of death needs to be ended.

  4. This is so sad just so simple. Back to execution yes but it depends on the circumstances surrounding the homicide.
