It is alleged that eight Emerald Chef AC units, valued at $3,000 each, were removed from a storeroom sometime between 1:30 p.m. on January 10 and 8:30 a.m. on January 15 at St. John’s Street.

A source says the matter was reported to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) by Ickford Thomas of Clarks Hill, the deputy chief of security at the Ministry of Works.

Reports say the intruders were able to get into the storeroom via a northern wooden door by using a cutting tool to sever the padlock.
The unknown persons then entered the building and removed the AC units from a shelf.

A search reportedly was carried out for the stolen items, but without  success.

  1. Why are those AC units in storage when they are so desperately needed at the hospital? Corruption is everywhere on this island.

  2. Weren’t a lot of air conditioners stolen recently from a business in upper gambles? There appears to be an active business for air conditioners. Either the culprits are in business, or they are selling parts. This is most likely an inside job as how would the thieves know where to go.

  3. What the Government Don’t pay to the Just, They will pay to the Unjust.Wicked Set of People.Stealing money from co-operations like social security and medical Benefits and not paying Vendors Doing Business with the Government. They have Cat Watching Cheeze. This is not a Random Breaking. That’s an inside Job.

  4. Check the Employees Homes and see what you may find there. Why aren’t Human Security on site. Why no cameras on site of a Government Entity. Why the storage building is not fully alarmed.

  5. Where did the police search? Every time there is a break in, the police always searching the area and finding nothing. They think the thieves are going to leave the stole goods in the bush. They had better go and question people selling air conditioners or people who do repairs. You police officers, please start doing police work.
