The owner and manager of Gigi Industries Ltd., located on Sir Sydney Walling Highway, reported a larceny to the Parham Police Station.
The theft involved a Grays Farm man pilfering three chairs and a bench from the business, with a total value of $2,101.05. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
Upon receiving the report, officers visited the scene where the business owner directed them to nearby bushes containing a motor jeep, A71414, loaded with the stolen items.
The proprietor positively identified the pilfered furniture as belonging to the business.
Two individuals, a 28-year-old Villa man and a 38-year-old man from Grays Farm, were subsequently arrested and brought in for investigation purposes.
After interviews and statement-taking, the business owner opted against further police action in the matter, and a recorded statement to that effect was made.
The alleged offenders were later discharged, pending further investigations into this audacious daylight furniture heist.

I CAN RECALLED IN ANOTHER MATTER WHERE THE COUNTRY AND THE TREASURY WAS DEFRAUDED OF OVER THREE MILLION DOLLARS, HIGH OFFICIALS SAYING ALL THE WANTED WAS THE MONEY BACK. GUESS IT’S COMMON PRACTICE IN ANTIGUA.

I recalled the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda saying a Broker forged his signature at Customs. That person did use his signature to enrich himself by fraud. However,a person working in the Office of the Prime Minister did say.All they are asking the person, repay those funds gained from that forgery. If the money were paid back there would be no charges.I was shock to hear that statement. For any forgery should become a Police Matter. In my foolish opinion.Forging the Prime Minister’s signature is a National Security Matter. The person who committed that criminal act should have been charged and be arrested. Was the Forgery done by a COMRADE?
