Blood needed for weekend shooting victim

After Sunday’s shooting that left Michael Jacobs-Murphy with at least seven bullets wounds about the body, an appeal is being made for O positive blood.

Murphy is currently on life support at the Mount St John’s Hospital.

Family members are calling on members of the general public to donate O positive blood to help save his life.

Jacob-Murphy was shot multiple times at a shop in Johnson’s village by a lone gunman just after 1:30 am on Sunday morning.

Another two bullets pierced into the bedroom of a nearby wooden structure where a woman and a young girl were asleep, the bullets exited the structure and logged into another nearby house.

One of the bullets that entered Jacob Murphy’s body also puncture his liver causing him to undergo emergency surgery to remove the bullet.

Family members say the man lost significant amounts of blood to due to different surgeries he had to undergo

MSJMC doctors have told family members that Murphy has a 50/50 chance of survival.
