In a significant development within a high-profile murder case, Berle Wallace Jr has entered a plea of not guilty in the High Court.
Wallace Jr stands accused of the fatal stabbing of 36-year-old personal trainer, Christopher Smithers, on March 1, 2022.
The tragic incident unfolded on St. John’s Street around 6:23 pm, during an altercation between the two individuals.
According to witness accounts, during the confrontation, Wallace Jr, then 38 years old, armed himself with a sharp object, resulting in the stabbing of Smithers.
Despite immediate medical attention at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, Smithers succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Wallace Jr’s next court appearance is scheduled for December in preparation for the trial.

May I ask, what makes it a “high-profile case”, is it because the fitness trainer was white? Just asking. As far as I am concerned, EVERY murder is a high-profile case, because all lives matter.
Why u gotta make it about race
They need to bury this one under the jail. He is either too wicked or too dumb to understand that you can’t plea not guilty when you literally armed yourself with a weapon and murdered someone. These young punks won’t fight with their fists. They always want to take up a gun or knife to end someone’s life over a disagreement.
First of all it’s NOT about race. He stabbed the man who was unarmed. He was the aggressor. Why being white has anything to do with it?? I personally know that personal trainer and by the way his mother is Antiguan, she’s half black and white and his father is white which makes him 25% black. Is that not black enough for you???? You directly dun-e!!
