Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate for Barbuda, Kendra Beazer, has promised to prioritise residents’ interests if elected in the April 30 general election.
Speaking at his campaign launch, Mr Beazer said leadership must be rooted in service rather than self-interest, adding that he would represent Barbudans with integrity.
“I vow to represent your best interest at every point in this journey,” he told supporters.

He urged voters to view the election as a decision about community wellbeing, not political loyalty.
“You are electing a representative to look out for your best interest, not somebody that is going to look out for themselves,” he said.
Mr Beazer described his campaign as a “labour movement for the people of Barbuda”, focused on unity, resilience and empowerment. He also argued that the island’s unique needs must be prioritised, warning that a “one size fits all” approach would not work.
He is set to face Barbuda People’s Movement (BPM) candidate Trevor Walker in the contest.

Good. Don’t be like the BROWN PAPERBAG man and CUSS OUT PEOPLE. LISTEN to them.
To quote Trevor Walker in addressing Barbudans:
“…and seem to be on a protracted path of
-GAMBLING
-IDLENESS
-SEXUAL PROMISCUITY
-DRUG ABUSE
-ALCOHOL ABUSE
-BADMINDED-NESS
-COVETUOUS-NESS
-SELFISHNESS
-UNPRODUCTIVITY. People don’t want to work
-DECEITFULNESS
-People badminded and just covet other people
-LACK OF RESPECT FOR OTHERS
-LACK OF RESPECT FOR THOSE IN AUTHORITY
Council say work til 4 o’clock or 5 o’clock. You warn go home 10 o’clock
-LAZINESS
-THE LOVE FOR MONEY
-GREEDINESS
And the last one which I find is the most profound for me:
-OUR TURNING AWAY FROM GODLY THINGS”.
~Member of Parliament Trevor Walker
You can’t promise anything once you are a member of the ABLP Cabal. The Charlatan nd white investors run things and you march to the beat of their drum so stop the mamagizm, we are not fools as those over in Antigua
Rethorical statements don’t fools Barbudans.
Leadership is not rethorical statements filled with jargons.
Leadership is demonstrated by measurable deeds, not emotional and empty talk.
Making rethorical statements is not leadership
To say “leadership must be rooted in service rather than self-interest, and represent Barbudans with integrity” is not the characteristic and history of this candidate.
There is so much this candidate could have done to demonstrate his commitment and loyalty to Barbudans.
How about campaigning and working something as simple as a cleaner Barbuda.
The developments the candidate has supported has created an influx of foreigners who has no regards for the cleanliness of Codrington.
These newcomers most being a migrant workers on the resort development sites like PLH have become a menace with: noice and litter throughout Barbuda.
What Unity resilience and empowerment?
Barbudans don’t want their lands to be given away to outsiders.
They have been UNIFIED in fighting against anyone changing their land system.
Resilience? They have for generations demonstrated they are a resilient people.
They have been demonstrating their resilience in rebuilding before and after IRMA.
The Candidate’s party, ALBP is not about resilience; it’s about dependency. So what resilience is he talking about?
The last thing Barbuda needs is another “Sell-Out”.
This man(?) Kendra “The Weasel” Beazer has nothing to offer Barbudans other than grief.
He pretended he was interested in restoring and preserving the environment of Barbuda.
He was sponsored for a master of science degree in Environmental Science at College got himself a UN job then.
When various projects were approved by ABLP operatives on Barbuda he Never lifted a finger for Barbuda with his newly minted degree in Environmental Science from Lehigh University.
He says he supports development but for a person who was pursuing a PHD in economics at Oxford he comes across rather dull and bland .
Now he wants to talk about resilience. Does
Kendra Beazer realize Barbudans resistance and resilience has been against the political establishment he is running for?
Beazer, I like you, but not this time. You know Barbuda is for Trevor Walker
Let we see what plan he really have for land and development before I get excited
Sound good on stage, but Barbuda politics different in real life
Barbuda need somebody who will actually work with central government, not fight every minute
A pity you may not win
Fresh face, fresh energy. Sometimes change is good, even for Barbuda 💯
He sound genuine yes. Not the usual politics talk
All the best to you Mr. Beazer. Time enough the people REJECT THE BMP LIES AND BRAINWASHING.
“…the claimants have NO REALISTIC PROSPECT OF SUCCEEDING in their claim under section 9(1) of the CONSTITUTION!!!
“The Court found that the Appellants did NOT have a PERSONAL RIGHT of property in the leased land. Rather, the Land Act provided a SCHEME for the collective rights of Barbudan people as a class”

@ Sparx4Dem,
The only interest the current Central Government has in Barbuda is to sell off the land.
If an arm robber come knocking on you door do you invite him in snd work with him?
@ Hmmmmmmmm,
I would argue that Trevor Walker and The former Chairman of The Barbuda Council did The People of Barbuda a great disservice in taking the matter to Court as the Claimants.
What the court is saying they did not own the land on which they made the claim.
The Court also ruled want land for resort development has to be approved by the quorum of Barbudans.
Robert De Niro was smart enough to obtain that approval by the Barbuda people in several community meetings.
Idiots like you pick and choose what you want to believe.
Read the entire Privy Council ruling and point out where I’m wrong
@ Hmmmmmmmm,
I suspect your knowledge base would be much more informed and educated if you were not solely dependent on what’s published in the bias media and political news.
Read the full Privy Council ruling. It may help you understand what the ruling says which is not being told by the media and the politicians.
