For a third consecutive two-week period, bars, clubs and gyms will remain closed and restaurants remain limited to serving take-out meals only.

According to its weekly report, the Executive made this decision after discussions with the Chief Medical Officer and in consideration of the country’s COVID-19 situation.

Cabinet says the reopening of these establishments depends on a reduction in the number of virus infections in a seven-day period.

Meanwhile, residents who complain about the restrictions on beach use will have to endure them for an additional two weeks.

The Cabinet decision that limits beach use to 12 hours – 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays – will remain in place. So, on weekends, beaches will close at midday.

The curfew regulations stay as they are for a further two weeks, as well.  The hours are from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day.
