Barbuda Ocean Club job fair attracts over 1,000 applicants

CABINET NOTES:

The Cabinet was informed that PLH (Barbuda Ocean Club) regards its March 8, Job Fair as exceedingly successful.

 

More than 1,000 men and women attended the fair and registered their interest in being employed by the PLH.

 

The firm has indicated that it will need more than 1,600 workers when the first phase is completed before the end of this year.

 

Second and third phases will commence when phase number one is done.

 

More luxury homes are to be built and an eighteen-hole golf course will need to be professionally maintained.

  4. Here we go again – maids, gardeners, kitchen helpers, laundry women, etc. Our people fitting right back into the system designed for us. They will answer to a Caucasian from some far flung clime. Well thought out strategy. You will hear the crowing about the many jobs on offer.
    By the way, any managerial jobs offered? Just checking.
    The more things change the more they remain the same.

    • The lips of the wise spread knowledge. Plenty of our people are middle class base on working hard in the hotel industry and yes of course plenty ahwe are in management. Sometimes in life we must always be positive and constructive. It’s goes a long way. By the way we are resourceful and intelligent people who are capable to do hard work. Additionally, plenty of the same brothers and sister’s, mothers and fathers and family members are quite capable of supporting their families and have their house’s etc.

        After are we done educating our children, especially in Barbuda, are we want jobs for our children besides as maids and gardeners.
        2:
        Are we want Gaston to stop giving away our lands to other races because he thinks he is one of them and can make money from them. The lands belongs to us and our generations to come.
