Barbuda Hurricane Victims Say They Won’t Leave Barrymore

7
Despite being evicted from Barrymore Hotel, some Barbudans are refusing to leave the premises sighting the unavailability of alternative accommodations.
According to reports, law enforcement officers were on the premises last weekend seeking to remove the remaining Barbudans but they were relentless and refused to relocate.
Information suggests that one meeting between Government officials and the Barbudans has since taken place and another scheduled to occur this week.
The officials are seeking to come to a resolution on the matter.
Barbudans have been relocated to the old hotel after Hurricane Irma ripped through Barbuda in September 2017.
Some of the islanders have since returned home to assist in the rebuilding efforts.

  1. My understanding is that it is the same family that was misbehaving when they were staying at the stadium. One family must be allowed to “bullyrag” the authorities? Dem joke nah sweet now.

  2. So sad! die heart labour supporters getting these treatment. Bpm supporters done gone back home long time. Why you labour folks still in Barrymore taking this type of harassment? These same people will cuss u out fu labour…now look yah.I guess what you buy is what you wear. I wonder if these same people gonna vote red again.

    • It does NOT matter who they support/vote for. They need to haul their own arses out the place and live decent life. Why stay where you are not wanted? Ever heard of “do not wear out your welcome”? They are only making themselves appear to be leech-like, lazy, and ungrateful.

Sadly, this family is making all Barbudans look bad. Can MP Trevor Walker help them to find lodging?

  3. Their time is up. Every one must pack up and go home. They now are abusing the hospitality of their Antiguan counterparts. Nobody else could get away with something like that. The Government has been more than patient with these people. Have a pleasant journey home.

  4. If these are labour supporters, they believe they have entitlement for there votes. Isn’t that the way many labour supporters think?
