Barbuda Council Secretary Paul Nedd has been arrested yesterday on multiple charges including two for obstruction and one for disorderly conduct.
Nedd apparently obstructed a police officer by blocking passage on a public road using a motor vehicle. The latter charge related to his conduct in the same incident.
According to Council Member Devon Warner, he along with the other council members went down to the police station to intervene and had Nedd released.
“I was called by the secretary of the Council and informed that one of our agents was arrested. I then hustled and made my way down [and] I met them on the River Road coming from the [Palmetto Point] site.
“We turned back and went to the police station where they detained the gentleman and were in the process as well of arresting the secretary of the Council … after some intervention … they released him,” Warner explained.
This arrest takes place amidst the ongoing controversy between the island’s authorities and the Peace, Love and Happiness (PLH) development.
However the luxury development company has informed that the arrest did not did not occur on its property.

Barbudans are of the opinion that on Barbuda they can do as they like. Antigua law doesn’t apply to them. One needs to be made an example so the rest will understand that the laws on the book in Antigua are for Barbuda as well. As Trevor Walker wants to justify their behavior saying Barbudans don’t like to be told what to do. Well if you keep within the law no one will tell you what to do. Its when you step outside the law you will find out that Barbuda is part of Antigua and is govern by the same law. You guys want to be little kings and queens down there. And that has been going on for much too long.
BARBUDANS always CRYING. What the HELL Barbudans want ? NO Improvement ??????. Trevor Walker will remain the ONLY rich Barbudan ????? I do hope the YOUNGER Barbudans see things differently !!!!!
