The Heads of Department employed by the Barbuda Council has elected the Antigua and Barbuda Trades and Labour Union as their Sole Bargaining Agent.
The secret ballot held on 07th May 2025 in Codrington, Barbuda was conducted by the Department of Labour in accordance with J11 of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Code.
The successful election marks another milestone for the AT&LU in its commitment to protecting and advancing the rights of workers in Barbuda.
In August 2024 the Union held a workshop in Barbuda entitled “Promoting and Advancing the Rights of Workers in Barbuda,” for workers in the both public sector and private sector.

Hmmmmm There is hope yet for an eventual family reunion ruptured/broken /severed by the likes of Christopher Codrington, McChesney George and son, Hakim Ackbar, the town drunk Hilbourne Frank, his brother MacKenzie Frank and offspring. possibly the only honorable ones in that lot – Hon. Claude Earl Francis and Eric Burton, and their self-titled “entitled” sons. Then there is this younger generation (though rapidly aging) of vile, deracinated power seekers – Trebor Walker-Harris(?), Fabian Jones, the no-pedigree Desouza, and the lowest (pedigree-wise), the most common , the
swamp-dweller John Musssington. They have sooo retarded the progress of our SISTER island and its residents for their selfish, diabolical motives aided and abetter by the “leaders” of the disproportionate number of church buildings/membership on the island. Barbudans are Antiguans, Antiguans are Barbudans. You can huff and puff until you drop dead. Reality is reality. Congrats to the ABTLU going forward. Stay above the fray. I believe the PLH incentivize some persons in the council , because Trevor stay passive while the land is plundered from beneath them and fenced off.

Trevor and the former Chairman are both incentived. You’d be surprised by whom.
What’s interesting here is that the supervisors who are non productive and for the most part incompetent are now unionized.
When the Council workers become unionized it will be interesting to see how much gets done.
