Police have identified the two persons who drowned today, December 15.
They are 27-year-old Nioca Howard of #440 Emerald Park West Six Roads, St Philip, and her five-year-old son Nico Roach. They were identified by family members.
Police at the Oistins station received a report that two persons, an adult female and a young boy, had drowned while at Welches Beach in Christ Church.
On arrival at the scene, police found the two lifeless bodies.
Further investigations revealed they were both pulled from the sea by two individuals who were walking along the beach.
