BARBADOS: British star to appear in court on Wednesday

The Royal Barbados Police Force has confirmed international media reports that Zara Holland, 25, of Great Britain will appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Holland, who was staying at the Sugar Bay Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church will face charges for breaching quarantine.

The Love Island star arrived on the island on Sunday, December 27, 2020, and was tested for the coronavirus on December 28. She was reportedly instructed to remain at the Sugar Bay Hotel, Hastings, Christ Church until the results were known. On Tuesday, December 29, personnel from the COVID-19 Monitoring Unit visited the hotel and discovered that Holland had left without permission.

She was intercepted at the Grantley Adams International Airport attempting to leave the island.

  2. With Britain on total shut down, the “star” could serve a similar six-month prison term like the one imposed recently on the Jamaica national who “went across the road” to buy a soda!!
    Maybe by that time, Britain might be reopened to receive flights.
