Banks will open five days a week from now on, the Bankers Association has announced.

The opening hours remain from 8a.m to 12 noon, the association said in a news release.

It said the decision was taken based on government’s widening of curfew hours from 6 a.m to 6 p.m.

The banks faced strong criticism over their decision to operate only two days a week for four hours a day over the last three weeks.

  1. Well the long lines in front of the supermarkets are starting to disappear. Which is a good thing. But supermarkets still need to control their crowds and ensure carts and baskets are sanitized and patrons wash their hands before entering their premises.
The banks should be using this moment to keep people away from coming into the bank and making banking more and more of a electronic thing. I have never seen people inside of a bank in Europe. They hust do not have any reason to be inside of a bank and the bank doors are not open to the public unless you have an appointment. Everything you do online or from your mobile phone. And I mean everything, except cash deposits. For that you have to go to the cash depository or the ATM. Automated Teller Machine.
