The Bahamas has issued an executive order allowing only cruise ships that can prove 100 per cent of guests 12 and over are fully vaccinated.

The order takes effect on Sept. 3 and lasts for a month.

It covers all cruise ship docks as well as private island destinations in the Bahamas.

Ships must provide a manifest which shows the vaccination status of all persons onboard.

On arrival in the Bahamas, cruise passengers are subject to any testing requirements imposed by their cruise line.

Exceptions are given for crew and any cruise line contractors onboard, as well as official medical exceptions.

Royal Caribbean said it is changing its vaccine policy for sailings from Florida to the Bahamas to comply with the new rules.

The cruise line  had  already made  vaccinations mandatory in other states.
