BAHAMAS: COVID-19 cases top 1,000 in The Bahamas with 47 new cases Wednesday

The Bahamas has recorded more than 1,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health reported an additional 47 cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases in The Bahamas to 1,036.

Of the new cases, there are 40 on New Providence, five on Cat Island, one on Abaco and one on Exuma.

According to the Ministry of Health COVID-19 dashboard, six more people recovered, bringing the total to 122. Hospitalizations remained at 30.

Fifteen people have died, and there are 856 active cases.

A total of 7,096 tests were completed, according to health officials. These include tests conducted by private facilities.
