The surgery done on a bay with stage four cancer was successful, the health ministry has reported.
Word out of Cuba is that young Micah Kitt’s surgery has been a tremendous success and the nine-month-old is out of the operating room and recovering.
According to the head of the Pediatric Unit at the Mount St John Medical Center-Dr Shivon Belle Jarvis, the operation to remove the tumour from the Adrenal Gland was successful and mother and child are doing well.
The procedure was done at the Manuel Marquez Pediatric Hospital. Late last week following scans and a biopsy, it was revealed that the Cancer had spread to his bones.
Over five months ago, baby Micah was diagnosed with Stage Four Neuroblastoma Cancer.
