Authorities Respond to Richard S. Lewis’ Call to Clean Waterways in Preparation for Storm

In response to MP Richard S. Lewis’ request, authorities are taking action to clear major waterways in communities ahead of the 2023 hurricane season.

Waterway that was requested to be cleared by MP Richard Lewis.

The aim is to mitigate potential flooding during storms.

The formal call also urged authorities to ensure designated hurricane shelters are prepared to safeguard the community.

The request, submitted to the Minister of Health, Wellness, Social Transformation, and The Environment, seeks a comprehensive plan to address these crucial concerns.

Public safety remains a top priority for the government.
