AUA Donates Protective and Sanitizing Resources to the Police Force

The American University of Antigua (AUA) has once again shown its commitment to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda by donating a substantial number of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitizing resources to the Police organization.

 

The donated items include Hand Sanitizers, KN95 Masks, Face Shields, Isolation Gowns, Latex Gloves, Thermometers and a Sanitizer Machine. All necessary resources to be used in the continuous fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Associate Director for Administration Marlon Destin in handing over the contributions, spoke to the commitment of AUA to the Police Force in ensuring that officers remain safe while carrying out their duties.

 

He also mentioned that the university was delighted to make this contribution for as a medical educational institution “safety” is of utmost importance and they are playing their part in ensuring that persons remain safe.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Samuel Joseph accepted the donations on behalf of the Police Force and conveyed the deepest gratitude from the Commissioner of Police.

 

He reiterated the points mentioned by Mr. Destin and further mentioned the unwavering support of AUA to the Police organization in areas of training and logistical support.

 

Assistant Commissioner Joseph underscored the point of officers keeping safe while on duty and that these protective gears will most definitely complement the Police Force’s ongoing efforts.

The partnership shared between both organizations have spanned many years in various ways and continue to blossom and bear fruit at every level of growth.

 

Once again, the Police organization expresses much appreciation to the administration and staff of the American University of Antigua (AUA).
