Reports say the woman was asleep in her room when she was suddenly awakened by the three unknown men at about 1:30 a.m.

They allegedly entered her son’s bedroom, as well, and held him in the hallway while they ransacked his mother’s room.

The trio robbed the lawyer of two Samsung cellular phones and an HP laptop; a quantity of gold and silver jewelry; a black leather bag containing her Antigua and Barbuda passport, an American passport, her driver’s license, her Social Security card and ECAB card, as well as EC$500.

Additionally, a piggy bank containing EC$70 and a voter ID card were taken from her bedroom.

One of the bandits is said to be of a slim build and about 6 feet 2 inches in height and was wearing blue jeans and a green long- sleeved shirt.

He reportedly carried an orange-coloured gun.

His two accomplices are said to be about 5 feet 5 inches in height and were wearing dark-coloured clothing.

All three had shirts covering their faces.

Apparently, the robbers entered the house through a sliding door that was closed but not locked.

They made good their escape
through the wooden front door.

A report of the incident was made to the Dockyard Police Station by the Piccadilly woman, who went to the station with her son.

A search was carried out in the surrounding areas for the alleged offenders, but without success.

Investigations into this armed robbery continue.

  1. I pray they find what they’re looking for. This description is now given in basically all the robberies that has been taking place. These hoodlums are very brave face going in people house to rob and even hurt them.I am actually afraid 😨 and I never used to be.I have never seen antigua like this in all my years of existence.SAD!

    • I agree, I normally go back home for several weeks every year to visit. We are a big family, and extended family. It appears too dangerous to visit. It is so discouraging. These fools ruining this beautiful country for everyone.

  2. Until they start making them walk on their heads, they won’t stop. Right now they believe they are invincible. But, they will try the right one and meet their maker.

    • How much longer? What will it take? Whom do they have to hit first? What will be the end of this wave?
The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind!

      • These are all the signs that we are defintely living in the closing days of Earth’s history. Long prophesied in the Bible. Perilous times . The heart of man being so evil. Desperately wicked.
Yet, I must emphasise that we have not seen anything yet. The worse is yet to come.
The spirit of God is slowly being withdrawn from this eareth as mankind in the great majority has chosen to go the path of WRONGTEOUSNESS and reject RIGHTEOUSNESS.
The evil will abound but a bit longer then the Righteous Judge will step in.
Those who perpetuate these evil crimes will answer in a mighty way.
They may think that they have escaped the faulty and corrupt justise system of man. But WOE be unto them; the Righteous Judge KNOWS EVERYTHING AND EVERY DEED WILL BE MADE KNOWN WHEN JUDGEMENT IS CALLED.

People: Open your minds to reality. We are very near to the end of times. Evil will continue but for a while longer to magnify its ugly head in ll sorts of Cruel ways. However, Jah stands at tyhe door knocking, desiring for us to turn to His way: The ONLY way that brings peace and righteousness.
Which way will we chose ? He wont force us.

What does it profit a man to gain a few fleeting gold and yet lose his soul? MADNESS!

Awake my people: Look to the ONLY SOURCE of PEACE and REDEMPTION.

        • @NO EQUAL RIGHT OR JUSTICE. So we just kneel and look to the heavens while a burning Antigua and Barbuda, a result mainly of our bad choices of leadership and non-engagement, continues to burn? I say no. The sentiments you expressed have their place but the current problems are of our own making and we must fix it for the sake of our children and grand-children.

  3. Illegal immigration from Jamaica and Haiti is making Antigua unlivable.

Soon Antigua will become the murder and crime capital of the Caribbean!

    • wtf;!!!!!!!! why you all can’t admit that ANTUGUANA ARE THIEF not all but a lot because they dnt want work tf every time robbery happen u on Jamaican kmft Jamaicans here work we f@@@@kung work we dnt rob an steal we do construction work or security
even. wen we dnt like security we do it for a living who tf are u to judge go look for you all crimina LS who sitburn weed on roadside an doesn’t want to work WE JAMAICAN WORK OUR HONEZT BREAD AN WE NOT ILLIGAL YOU F***K FACE WHO EVER WRITE THIS

    • I totally agree agree with you Rastaman 222. We letting in the Scum of Jamaica 🇯🇲 both legal and illegal. The Government needs to put in place a system that prohibites them from entering without being educated certificates of education and profession record should be sent for verification before entering. Some Jamicans are nice but the majority I have met are the worst.

  4. These are really changing times and we can no longer take our security situation in Antigua and Barbuda for granted. The proliferation of illegal guns have compounded things and thieves are not only dangerous, but they are well armed. Honestly, we are at the stage where even residential homeowners have to consider investing in cameras and other apparatus for their own safety. Out there not easy!

    • It seems like the Honourable Gisele D Isaacs was absolutely correct when she mentioned recently that the ABLP cabinet were blatantly downplaying crime in this country; and add to this, the blatant manipulation of the statistics to make them look as if things aren’t as bad as they seem in Antigua.

If the ABLP can find the police to oversee the dismantling of billboards and banners, surely they can make the police patrol the streets.

WHY DID ANTIGUANS RE-ELECT THIS RABBLE?

  5. As mentioned previous, only time will tell when one of these perps meet their end doing this crap. And I hope it happens sooner than later and maybe even more than one. People don’t realise when u create anarchy it will turn on you!!!

  6. This is not about politics, this is about governance, and unfortunately,we have the most lackadaisical and inept administration governing us right now, the worse in the history of our existence in Antigua as a independent Nation.

Many will come on here and defend this lazy administration, who are just getting fat on the hog, saying it’s not about politics, but more about the so-called “last days”, instead of looking at the very problems we have at the top leading us.

If it’s not about politics, then why do we have leaders? So then let’s just get rid of all these lazy bastards and become a self governing state then..why not?

Antigua is sinking in the abyss, because we have terrible leaders, plain and simple.
Leaders who are in league with the criminals, who are raping and pelidging Antigua to oblivion.

We are just letting people in left right and center, who doesn’t give a shit about Antigua, and all they do is just rob and steal from this beautiful land. A Damn shame indeed.

Nothing wrong with freedom of movement, but freedom of movement without a proper vetting system and better immigration policies, is a recipe for the disaster we have here now in Antigua, and who is responsible to implement and oversee those policies, isn’t it the PM and his band of fools?

We warned and warned that this was coming, and no one listen, no one in the power positions who can do something that is. I came back home on the first plane from Miami, when the country was opened back up after COVID, and I saw this coming for Antigua, I saw it in the eyes of the yutes, and how lost and destitute their hopes were,I even came on this very forum, way back then, and scream for the Government to take heed and get a grip on this thing very fast, but nothing was done.. So this is the results of a Government that just sits back and get fat off the hog, instead of helping it’s people from these criminals thats coming into the country, loot and raid, then fly back to their country.

I have no doubt that this is what’s happening here in Antigua.

But hey, who am I to tell these ignorant bastards what to do?

  7. Go look fi unuh old thief dem an stop blaming Jamaicans because they not illigal they came here get there six month some go in for More time some go home back look one thing with Jamaican they love working I never seen no Jamaican come here and it an dnt like work they are very hard working go find u all criminals an stop blaming foreigners for the things you all doing
own up to you all responsibility an stop blaming others for the failures you all have here in u all countries who do not love work !!!!! what does freedom of movement have to do with ANTIGUANS GOING AROUND ROBBING PPL a long time you all a thief is not now so everything u all blame on Jamaican why you all can’t blame unuh self kmft

    • @comeoff. Where did I mention the name “Jamaica” in my post. I said Antigua needs a proper vetting system for people coming to the island, plain and simple. Anyone from outside the country needs to be vetted properly with better back ground checks and all that. Nothing that any other country in the world not doing right now.

And I don’t give a damn if your little feelings gets hurt, because Antigua must be protected at all cost, and it starts at the borders with guns and illegal immigrants. Are you saying that it’s Antiguan’s bringing in all these guns? Stealing is one thing, but organized crimes is on another level, and that’s what your seeing across the island. You cannot sit there and tell me that these little poor young men we have here in this small islands are capable masterminding these suffocated crimes. Who you think you fooling? I grew up in the Caribbean, so pass me with crying about your bias feelings.

But anyway, get out your feelings and stand behind the call for a better immigration system, if even you yourself wants to be safe in Antigua,as the hard working immigrant that you are.

  8. Y’all wait man. It will stop till smaddy dead. Y’all wait. And somebody parent go bawl.but when yah pickney a walk a stick up people you nah know how it feel. Y’all wait. Just wait.

  9. If all this criminal activity was going on while UPP was in power, you all would have marched and rallied them out of power already.

In the words of Joanne Massiah, you all make me sick.

  10. Sad to hear my good friend and her child had to experience this. These perpetrators are taking advantage of weaknesses. Unfortunately the location is a bit deserted and I would be difficult for a neighbor to even notice what’s happening. Persons in a similar situation need to consider a monitored security system

    • @Tenman. “Weakness”? Tenman is that you? You spent many years trying to convince people that UPP and PM Spencer, “BS” as you called him, were weak. You also said a strong leader like “Top dawg”, as I call him, would give us a better Antigua on all fronts.

I understand, a little confession that ABLP is a weak govt is good for the soul. However, you must now join with those trying to improve this country and kick these idiots to the curb.
