APUA, Antigua’s utility company, is investigating the reasons behind the widespread power outages experienced over the weekend.

In a preliminary report, Electricity Business Manager Andre Matthias revealed that the causes are still under investigation, with a more detailed report expected on Monday.

Initial findings indicate the first set of outages was planned for maintenance at Cassada Gardens Substation, while the second, unplanned interruption resulted from a failure at Friars Hill Substation.

Power has been restored, and engineers are working to identify the root causes of the disruptions that impacted various areas of St. John’s.

    • Gassssston Browne promised that island wide water would have been fully implemented last September 2023.

Another broken election promise; and next month will be a year without a 24/7 water supply; and his silence is DEAFENING @ Deliverance …
