APUA Announces Cancellation Of Summer Internship Programme 2020

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2020 Summer Internship Programme (SIP).

This was by no means an easy decision and was taken after careful and difficult deliberations.

The cancellation is primarily due to the on-going impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Authority prioritizes its efforts towards the safety of its employees and customers, while adhering to workplace best practice guidelines.

The APUA SIP has evolved over the years to become the Caribbean’s Most Prestigious Summer Internship Programme and has set the standard amongst other local and regional companies to create an avenue to aid, assist and develop our young, talented and bright minds with real-life work experience.

The 8th edition of the SIP, held in 2019, saw more than two hundred applicants with only twelve (12) selected for the programme following a highly competitive recruitment process.
APUA wishes to assure future participants that the programme will be reviewed for its 9th instalment in 2021.

The Authority’s commitment to the development of young professionals in Antigua and Barbuda is unwavering.

APUA encourages aspirants to remain steadfast in their pursuit of personal and professional development goals and looks forward to engaging applicants in the future.
