Former Police Constable turned criminal Dave “Apple Boy” Roacher’s appeal has been adjourned to November.

The adjournment is due to the ex-policeman’s attorney’s late submission of documents related to grounds of appeals filed in the matter.

Director of Public Prosecutions, Anthony Armstrong told the Court of Appeal the documents that were due on May 2 were only received last Thursday.

The Court granted the DPP extra time to respond to the submissions and the matter was adjourned to the next sitting of the Court of Appeal in Antigua & Barbuda, which is slated for November.

Roacher was sentenced to 20 years in June of 2015 after he was found guilty of armed robbery the month before.

The disgraced officer was still a member of the Royal Police Force of Antigua & Barbuda when he broke into a woman’s home on Whenner road.

The court heard, during the incident, which occurred in 2012, the officer put a gun to the woman’s head before running off with her gold necklace.
