After serving as a High Court Judge in Antigua and Barbuda for over two years, Justice Colin Williams has been reassigned to the Commonwealth of Dominica to lead the country’s criminal division.
The appointment comes in response to the urgent need for a Criminal Judge in Dominica, following the retirement of Justice Richard Floyd due to health reasons in April 2023.
Justice Williams’ new role will commence on September 1, 2023, as directed by the Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.
During his tenure in Antigua, Justice Williams presided over several high-profile cases, leaving the question of his replacement in Antigua to be determined by the Judicial and Legal Services Commission. (OBSEVER)
