Sarah Lidia George King was diagnosed with cervical cancer in September of 2023, prompting the family to travel to Colombia, where medical expenses were covered.
Faced with the unavailability of necessary facilities in Antigua, the family sought refuge in a Colombian hospital, where Sarah was admitted for tests due to the advanced stage of her cancer.
Tragically, complications arose during her treatment, and she developed pneumonia, leading to her admission to the intensive care unit.
Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, Sarah’s condition deteriorated, leaving her unable to walk or speak properly.
The doctors, faced with the severity of her condition, advised the family that there was nothing more they could do, and their focus shifted to stabilizing her for travel back to Antigua.
The loss of Sarah Lidia George King is deeply felt by her family, friends, and the community.
